SOURCES OF INSPIRATION
At EASE we welcome enlightened knowledge and compassionate ways from all areas of living, and embrace the best of human experience in the realms that concern us regarding people and pets. Our sources of inspiration are many and come from diverse belief systems and parts of the world; but within the various services we offer we draw specifically on wisdom and methodology from the following bodies of work:
Amichien Dog Listeners: Amichien Bonding is a kind and gentle, quiet and easy way to learn to change undesirable behaviour in dogs. It allows the dog to work happily and of his own free will as he will no longer be trying to fulfil the job he thinks he has been given. Jan Fennell has worked with hundreds of dogs and has helped their carers to change undesirable behaviour such as pulling, jumping, barking, nervousness, and aggressive or destructive tendencies. EASE promotes Amichien Bonding with the dogs fostered in the Pet Easement Project, and will use this method to take care of dogs when we have our own sanctuary.
More information can be found at www.janfennellthedoglistener.com
Since the beginning of EASE, with the rescue of three New Forest foals from auction, equines at the sanctuary have been handled and trained using the methods of Monty Roberts, popularly known as the 'horse whisperer'. These methods are based on Monty's detailed observation of the natural equine body language used between horses. Training with this method allows the pony or horse to choose to work with the trainer, to follow his or her lead, and to progress by intrinsic learning rather than by extrinsic discipline. Monty's methods are promoted by Kelly Marks through Intelligent Horsemanship, more information about which can be found on www.intelligenthorsemanship.co.uk

The EASE Pet Bereavement Support Service is run by Angela Garner, who is a member of the Ruby Care Foundation, an international charity dedicated to care of the terminally ill, companionship of the dying, and support and counselling for the bereaved. The bereavement support EASE offers to people suffering from companion animal loss stems from the unique work of the foundation. The Template Foundation
The structure and principles of EASE are based upon a template pioneered by the Template Network. Central in this are ingredients such as value for all life; adherence to natural laws; understanding of the natures and qualities of different animals, plants, colours and stones; and respect for the planet upon which we live.
The Template Network is an international network which pioneers the discovery of new understandings in various territories within human affairs such as education, art, ecology, well-being, science and religion. The individual endeavour of personal growth is a central aspect in the Template work, which includes the liberation of each person's unique talents and qualities inside his or her way of life.
