The Adoption Scheme has been implemented to help us to meet the costs of taking care of the animals in our care until loving new homes can be found for them. The animals are looked after by a team of volunteers who take care of feeding them and maintaining the sanctuary. The total cost of taking care of each animal, including field rental, vets bills and feed, can be up to £150 per month. This takes up most of the charity’s limited resources so any financial assistance is deeply appreciated. In return for adopting an animal, you will benefit by:

Having exclusive visiting rights to your animal once a month
Receiving an Adoption Certificate
Having photos of your adopted animal
Receiving an EASE pin-badge
Getting monthly updates about the animals and their progress
Receiving copies of the quarterly ‘EASE News’ with information about EASE
Knowing you are directly helping the sanctuary to carry out its valuable work

The cost of adopting a pony or Zig and Zag is £60 for 6 months, to adopt Rosemary, Thyme or Cara is £30 for 6 months. This is payable by either a standing order of £10 per month or a payment by cheque/bank transfer for the total amount. So if you would like to adopt Sapphire, Amber, Zig and Zag, Cara, Rosemary or Thyme please
fill in the enclosed form and return it to Melinda Hill at EASE.

Amber is the youngest of the three ponies and also the most frisky and high-spirited. Her liveliness is matched by an inquisitive nature and a keen intelligence. Sapphire is the smallest pony and probably has some Shetland in her. She is the lead mare and, despite her small size, knows how to make her presence felt by all the other animals.

Rusty is a friendly Shetland pony with a very inquisitive nature. He is approximately two and a half years old and was found abandoned by the road in Bushey.
Zig and Zag have always been together and are the best of friends as well as being brother and sister. Zig, the female, is lively and playful while Zag, the male, is more timid and quiet. Rosemary is a ewe who came to us along with Thyme when her owner found all of the animals they had taken on were too much for them. She is the most timid of the two and also the loudest. Thyme is by far the larger of the two ewes, she is very friendly and is always ready to come up for a good scratch.
Cara is a pygmy goat who is about 8 years old. She has a full set if horns, unlike Zig and Zag, and has a very pretty cream and white colouring.
