EASE runs a Schools Project offering visits to pre-schools and primary schools in East Devon. Angela Garner holds these mini-workshops, which are designed to encourage young children to realise the importance of being kind and gentle to all animals. These interactive sessions involve creating a comfortable, safe 'home' for the two EASE guinea pigs who accompany Angela on these visits.
The children are encouraged to consider animals as feeling creatures that share many of our basic needs in life. The sessions are both enjoyable and informative; here is what one teacher said about them:

|
"As with your previous visits, I'm sure the children benefited from your demonstration of being kind and gentle to pets. The guinea pigs proved very popular, particularly with one child who suffers from autism. It was very moving to see him have a few special moments with the young animal."
We also offer a complimentary copy of our book 'Caring for your pet' to each school we visit.
